At the heart of Gifted Hands Independent Living Program is Tequila Doughty, a woman of faith, vision, and unwavering compassion. As the Founder and CEO, she was called to serve those who are often overlooked—individuals seeking stability, healing, and a second chance at life.
Tequila’s journey is rooted in a deep belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live independently with dignity, regardless of their past or current circumstances. Through her strong faith in God, she transformed her passion for helping others into a purpose-driven program that provides safe, supportive housing and guidance for individuals transitioning from difficult situations.
With a genuine heart for service, Tequila is dedicated to uplifting veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, those reentering society after incarceration, and adults living on fixed incomes. She understands that rebuilding a life takes more than just a place to stay—it requires encouragement, structure, and a supportive, faith-centered environment.
Guided by faith, integrity, and resilience, Tequila leads Gifted Hands Independent Living Program with a mission to restore hope, empower independence, and create lasting change. Her leadership reflects her belief that with the right support and a strong foundation, anyone can rebuild their life and walk confidently into their God-given purpose.
